ASI / ISI

Asynchronous Serial Interface (ASI) – The asynchronous interface uses ASCII commands to control the flow of position data. Data is streamed in frames. Controller settings must be matched with the encoder settings to ensure that the data is communicated correctly.

Incremental Serial Interface (ISI) – By providing absolute positioning in an incremental fashion this interface gives positioning changes to the controller as pulses, using standard incremental channels (A and B plus compliments). Absolute position is maintained within the encoder and can be extracted by triggering the Load In/Load Out functions.

Below are our Legacy series and products with NINA status (Not Intended for New Applications). These have not reach EOL status (End Of Life) and are provided as easy replacement spare parts, expansion of existing applications or when next generation encoder isn't available.

There is currently no new generation for this type of encoder.
